RESTORING BEAUTY
a series of Blueprints

The pictures are made during several walks in nature taken from dead and putrefied animals. The decay in their environs is sometimes of unprecedented beauty.

The remains form new image-compositions with surrounding materials; new shapes arise.

The chosen Blueprint technique (Cyanotype) gives an extra layer to the images, which are at the same time graphic and picturesque.

In every print the brushstroke of the chemicals is shining through.
A play between paper, chemicals, light and time.

A snapshot of a process of change, literally a blueprint of life.
