The work of visual artist Pé Okx exceeds various disciplines. In many of his works one can see a strong fascination for nature and the role of man in it. His projects have a poetical strain and play with the viewer’s perspective in an intriguing way. By deconstructing the relationship between object and spectator, Okx builds an alternative reality, which he calls 'the place in between'.
'I see my art as a long-time investigation towards the reality that surrounds us. Recurring themes that interest me are our attitudes towards nature, rituals, time, decay. It is an on-going study, and each intermediate presentation of a work is a next step in this process.
For this presentations I use various disciplines: photography, film and video installations or soundscapes. Sometimes i choose specific sites to expose this work. The last years the landscape itself becomes more and more part of this projects, by using it as 'material' to work with'.
His work is presented a.o. in Europe and USA often on specific locations and sites.
