FROZEN WINDOWS
2007 
Photographs of deceased people are filmed with an old Super8 camera. The camera moves slowly over the image, 'scanning' the face. It looks like the portrait is moving, comes alive.
The movies are projected on a thin plate of ice. The visitors watch a melting image; a temporarily window to the past.  Frozen Windows was presented during an art project on several graveyards round 'All Souls Day'.This project tries to give dead a visible place in common live by using imagination to the unnameable.
